Grimaud

A nice pittoresque and cosy place to visit near Villa Terre d’Azur is Grimaud. It is an old medieval town with typically Provencal flower-filled narrow streets and beautiful old architecture. A walk through the village really brings you back to past times. You should definitely climb to the ruins on the top of the hill. The ruins are from the 11th-century castle and still charming. But most of all from there you have a truly phenomenal view on the coast and the hills of the Massif des Maures mountains and the bay of St-Tropez with Port Grimaud and St-Tropez itself. It is a short climb but definitely worth it! Do not forget your binoculars….

You can park your car for free at designated locations on the outskirts of the village or you can take a train from Port Grimaud.
