Monaco

A feasible daytrip from Villa Terre d’Azur is Monaco. All year round Monaco has a lot to offer and is appealing to everyone. Just strolling around to see the Bugatti’s, Rolls Royces, Ferrari’s, Maserati’s as if they are normal cars. In the harbour you will admire the million dollar luxury yachts in the azur colored see speaking to everyone’s imagination.

On top of the rocky peak that dominates the old town of Monaco you will find the Prince’s Palace, home of the Grimaldi family which is partly open for visitors (8€ and free for childern <8y). At 11.55am every day you can see the changing of the guard. Nearby, at the Monaco cathedral, you will find the flowered graves of prince Rainier III and princess Grace.

Of course also the Monte Carlo casino is worth to stop by. It is a magnificent belle-epoque structure made famous by the James Bond movies GoldenEye and Never Say Never Again. You can just visit or go for the real Monte Carlo experience; both are payable.

Somehow more down-to-earth is to take a coffee at the Starbucks in Monte Carlo, the roof terrace offers a splendid view over the city!
